The Committee

We are proud to be your neighbours and aim to build a vibrant, welcoming and connected community. There is no formal membership; any resident is welcome to participate in as much, or as little as they wish. We work together to realise these aims and organise social events. The committee was formed in September 2019, when volunteers of the Eddington Open Door, Eddington Eats and the Eddington Film Club joined forces. A few months later the association was joined by Eddington Explorers for younger residents and their families.

As Eddington residents, whether we occupy postgraduate housing, a key worker apartment, or private housing; we all have a connection to the University of Cambridge, either directly or as land owner. We share the same district heating system (Core) and the same estate management company (Portal). We also have an excellent community centre; the Storey's Field Centre.

We would like to point out that as neighbour volunteers, we are not able to get involved in individual issues with these parties and we ask you to go through their official contact points, including if necessary, their complaints procedure. However, we are always interested in hearing about common or long term issues that may arise, so we can ultimately raise our voice as a collective if necessary.

We hope to meet you soon during one of our events, online or in person!
