We received the following request from the Federation of Cambridge Residents' Associations

We have been asked to share this from the Market Traders (via Karen, Madingley Road RA, 31 March). The Market is open and needs support. There will be further updates.
“When I went to the market this morning, the traders asked me to pass on the message that they were open for business as usual. Most were accepting contactless payments. There were no crowds and most people were very good about respecting distances. And there is plenty of room to move away from those who do not!

There are at least three fruit and veg stalls Tuesday to Saturday and generally one on Monday.

Martin at Cyclesmith is there Tuesday to Saturday if your bike needs repairing.

The butchers are there Wednesday and Saturday.

Emerald Foods with coffee beans, loose leaf teas and spices are there from Tuesday to Saturday and very happy to post orders or have them delivered (07899 990830/07810 540137 emeraldfoods@rocketmail.com)

Leigh the Cambridge Fishmonger is there and taking orders for next week.

Roberto's Deli is at the market six days a week selling pasta , lasagna pasta sheets, International cheeses, Sicilian olives, fresh pesto, Italian roasted ham with herbs and also cured meat.

The Cheese Stall remains open for business.

The Earth's Crust is there most days selling bread and baked goods.

Camcattle and Camlamb will deliver for orders above £25.

The Association was founded in September 2019 by a group of residents supported by Cambridge City Council. The first Annual General Meeting was held on 26 November 2020.

Eddington is named after the English astronomer, physicist, and mathematician Sir Arthur Eddington (1882–1944).
