St. Augustine’s Singers and Brass

A concert of works spanning four centuries, performed by the St Augustine’s Singers and St Augustine’s Brass, conducted by Paul Jackson.

Come and hear Gabrieli’s wonderful piece for choir and brass Jubilate Deo of 1550, to Stars (2011) by Latvian composer Erics Esenwalds (Fellow Commoner in Creative Arts at Trinity College) for choir, wine glasses, and Tibetan singing bowls. It also features music by Monteverdi, Victoria, Arvo Part and Vaughan Williams.

A feast of music for all.

This concert is promoted by CCSA, and part-funded by a Community Grant awarded by Cambridge City Council.

The Association was founded in September 2019 by a group of residents supported by Cambridge City Council. The first Annual General Meeting was held on 26 November 2020.

Connection

Eddington is named after the English astronomer, physicist, and mathematician Sir Arthur Eddington (1882–1944).
