Madingley Road Cycling and Walking Project

Madingley Road Cycling and Walking Project

The ERA reported earlier on the Greater Cambridge Partnership consultation for the Madingley Road Cycling and Walking Project.  Greater Cambridge Partnership submitted the consultation analysis and accompanying report to their Joint Assembly and Executive Board in June for consideration and decision respectively.

The Executive Board took the decision at its meeting on 25 June to approve proposals to move ahead with Option 2. This was the preferred option identified during the consultation and is the option which includes a two-way cycleway on the north side of Madingley Road.

They will now be taking work forward to develop the design for Option 2 (https://www.greatercambridge.org.uk/news/still-time-to-share-views-on-madingley-road). At the present time, due to the Covid-19 situation and the need for social distancing, They are unable to meet in person. However, they are committed to engaging with local residents and stakeholders and we will look to hold a workshop with interested parties at an appropriate point during the design stage.

ERA will continue to represent Eddington’s interests.
